Hot Springs Greater Learning Foundation Day Camp

Thursday August 7th: This one-day camp is specially tailored for students with special needs focusing on those with hearing and vision impairments.

Friday, August 8th: Campers will enjoy a day filled with fun outdoor learning. From feathers to fur to weather, camp goers will be immersed in hands-on learning.

Check in will be at 8:30am at the park shelter. Camp goes from 9am until 4pm then starts up again at 8pm where parents are welcome to join campers in an Astronomy program.

There will be an optional hike on Saturday, August 9th. See organizers for details.

Campers will need: comfortable shoes, cap, sun screen, and bug spray. Optional equipment: backpack, notepad, binoculars.

Enrollment limited to 30 each day.

Camp fees: $25.00 before July 30th, $30.00 thereafter. Includes lunch, beverages, snacks and handouts.

Gearing Up For Bird Banding

Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) bird banding is almost here. With banding stations all around the state, you can find one near you. It is a great chance to meet some amazing new people and take part in very important citizen science. For more information on MAPS, please click here.
